preserving tradition at the sfoglia table

Sfoglia, established in 2000, has come to define the vera meaning of trattoria.  Porcelain-topped tables are set with squat glasses and mismatched place settings.  The centerpieces; Mason jars, wire baskets, and wooden troughs are filled with dried legumes, in-season vegetables and fruit that focus on the food you are about to eat and wish you Buon Appetito.

Our Renaissance-influenced menu changes bi-monthly and is designed to encourage people to dine in the European-style – sampling an antipasto, a primo of Ron’s renowned pasta – in fact, the restaurant’s name, Sfoglia, refers to an uncut sheet of pasta –, a secondo of local island fish, a contorno made with the produce from one of Nantucket’s farms, and a dolce from Colleen’s menu of deliziosi desserts.

We hope that you enjoy your island Sfoglia experience.  And we hope that these memories will bring you back to the table on Nantucket, or at our New York City location.
